Ademole Olawepo & Alhaji Bamidele

The annual Christmas party was held at the Skycity Grand Convention centre. They certainly did us proud. The tables beautifully set and the staff were marvellous. Everyone enjoyed the plentiful food with lovely prawn salad, roasted veges, Turkey and a delicious Christmas Ham being carved in front of us. The mini Pavlovas, Xmas pudding and custard went down a treat.  No one went hungry that’s for sure. It was great to be welcomed with a glass of bubbles or wine and the bar tab seemed to last most of the lunch!

One of the highlights for everyone are the FREE raffles.  Lots of give aways with hampers, champagne and gifts from areas where the tours have travelled.

A lovely Travel bag was won along with boxes of truffle chocolates.

Alhaji Bamidele, Julia Mitchell & Precious Zulu

Julia Mitchell won the Grand Prize –  two return economy tickets to either Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne on the wonderful full service airline Emirates.  She was thrilled with her win.

The party is an opportunity to catch up with people you meet on tour and to share experiences and photographs with fellow travellers.  Precious Zulu always has her own photo albums at the function and there are always spare photos.  Its a great place too to ask people who have travelled to different places you might be interested in for their opinions. You can also get to meet up with our Tour Managers. This year Ademole Olawepo was there to meet up with anyone keen to join her on the English Country lanes tour in August of 2014.

2014 will see us back at the Skycity Grand because they looked after us so well so keep the 7th of December free and watch for your invite on the web and through our newsletter. We would love to see you there!!

The colours were so vibrant and the displays so different. “Woombie” was indeed a great place to visit.
